ONE TIME EVENT WITH FACULTY
I think it was in the Spring of 1966, one of our lay teachers, Rolf Nelson who lived in Fribourg with his wife and family, invited the entire grade 8 class to his house.
We'd never been asked anywhere so this was special. We's never seen Mr Nelson -- who was a strict disciplenarian -- in an away-from-school setting -- so this was an eye opener.
I've forgotten what we did -- I think he had some games set up and of course some refreshments -- but I can remember us all thinking what a nice guy he was for doing this.
