The online Alberta Homestead Records for 1870-1930 lists two properties for Aimé Hubert Brooks just south of Old Bluesky.

This is the property that Aimé built his log cabin residence on.

The purpose of this SECTION is not only to present original homestead documents related to Aimé's property but also to get some insight into Aimé's life at the time from responses presented in his own words to questions asked on the various forms.

5) Aimé's 1st World War military record: Enlistment date: 14-June-1918; (Army) Battalion: 1st Depot Bn. Alta. Regt.;
     Regimental No.: 3213189 rank was Private;
     Served in England with 21st General Reserve Battalion Class A , #20159;
     Demobilization date: 25-June-1919
6) Homestead was actually built May of 1921 and Aimé started residence on Homestead 14-May-1921
7) TIMELINE OVERVIEW:

10-May-1916     Initial Filing for Homestead NE8-80-1-W.6th Meridian - same day as older brother Alfred
14-August-1917     Recieved Certificate of Naturalization as a Canadian Citizen
14-June-1918 to 25-June-1919     Active Service with Army during WW I
1919     Had livestock on property from grazing lease
1920     Broke 30 acres on homestead; had livestock on property from grazing lease
1-May-1921 to 1-Nov-1921     Built 18 ft by 20 ft Log Cabin and a stable and dug a well & Resided on Homestead & cropped 30 acres; (Aimé was married 21-Sept-1921)
21-May-1922 to 24-July-1922     Broke 2 additional acres and cropped 30 acres (1st child Wendal was born 12-June-1922);
31-May-1926     Title to NE8-80-1-W.6th Meridian vested to Aimé by Department of Interior Soldier Settlement Board
22-July-1926     Land patent issued to Aimé by Land Patents Branch Department of Interior
