This is the property that Aimé used mostly for agricultural and livestock grazing purposes.

The purpose of this SECTION is not only to present original homestead documents related to Aimé's property but also to get some insight into Aimé's life at the time from responses presented in his own words to questions asked on the various forms.

                           Forms A & B dated 9-April-1921 application for property NE ¼ of Section 18 in Township 80 Range 1 West of 6th Meridian;
                           (Homestead located south of Old Bluesky, Alberta)
                           SOLDIER GRANT Sworn Statement dated 31-Aug-1925 for SOLDIER LOAN covering period
                           between 1-April-1922 and 21-August-1925 detailing activity on homestead.

KEY ITEMS OF NOTE FROM DOCUMENTS:
1) Current age at filing (9-April-1921)= 25 years of age and he was still single (family = 1) (Aimé was married 21-Sept-1921)
2) Although his earlier application listed Peace River as his principal residence, this submission listed LaFleche Saskatchewan
     as his last residence where his Occupation was a farmer
3) Makes statement that he was born in St. John, North Dakota, United States
4) Comments on Key Dates from WW I Army record:
     Discharge Certificate No.: 20159 Class G dated June 25th 1919
      Certificate from Soldier Settlement Board: Attestation Certificate No. 6867 August 29th 1919
      Other Evidence Submitted: Enlisted 1st Depot Bn. at Calgary on 14th June 1918
                                         Served in England with 21st Canadian Reserve Bn. Alberta
                                         Regimental # 3213189 Rank: Private
5) Date of Certificate of Naturalization: 14-August 1917
6) No residence was constructed on this Homestead -- it was used primarily for agricultural purposes and presumably livestock as well.
     20 acres were broken in 1924 and 20 acres cropped in 1925
7) TIMELINE OVERVIEW:

9-April-1921     Initial Filing for Homestead NE18-80-1-W.6th Meridian
1-April1922 to 21-Aug-1925    Although residence on other property, "lived" on this land.
1924     Broke 20 acres on homestead
1925     Cropped 20 acres
